New Public Market to Open in Downtown Carcar

A state-of-the-art public market is set to open next month in downtown Carcar City, promising to revolutionize the local trading experience for vendors and customers alike.

The modern facility spans 5,000 square meters and features improved ventilation, sanitation facilities, and organized vendor stalls. It will accommodate over 200 vendors selling fresh produce, meat, seafood, and various local products.

City officials conducted several consultations with existing market vendors to ensure the new facility meets their needs while maintaining affordable rental rates. The project is part of the city government’s broader initiative to modernize public infrastructure and support local commerce.

“This new market will provide a cleaner, safer, and more comfortable environment for both our vendors and shoppers,” said City Administrator Juan Dela Cruz.
