Carcar City Launches Free WiFi Zones in Public Areas

In a move to enhance digital connectivity, Carcar City government has launched free WiFi zones in several public areas across the city, making internet access more accessible to residents and visitors.

The initial rollout includes WiFi coverage at the City Plaza, Public Library, City Hall grounds, and major parks. The service aims to support students with their online learning needs and help local entrepreneurs access digital resources for their businesses.

“Digital connectivity is essential in today’s world. By providing free WiFi in public spaces, we’re helping bridge the digital divide and creating opportunities for our citizens to access information, education, and e-commerce platforms,” Mayor Apura stated during the launch ceremony.

The city government plans to expand the WiFi coverage to additional public areas in the coming months, depending on the success of the initial implementation.
